From The Bride…Our wedding day was an absolute dream and everything turned out beyond our expectations. Living in Edmonton, we set out to plan our wedding long distance in the Okanagan. The area is a special place to us both and we decided it would be the best location to bring together our BC and Alberta families and friends for a weekend of celebration.

We quickly realized how smoothly everything would go, despite planning from a distance, when every vendor we met was almost nicer than the next and so passionate about what they did. We planned our date around Joy Road Catering’s availability after tasting their incredible food. They worked with us to plan a menu full of our favourites, from homemade cheese and charcuterie to parmesan risotto to an amazing slow roasted lamb, grilled salmon, and the best cheesecake we have ever had! From the minute we entered Linden Gardens and met Ken we fell in love with the beautiful outdoor setting and their relaxed demeanor. It was exactly what we wanted our wedding to feel like. To pull it all together, we worked with Nicole from Created Lovely Events, who did an amazing job taking our vision and style wants and helping us find all the best sources, including the incredible florals from a new leaf floral design. She and her team did an awesome job the week and day-of as well and we were left to just enjoy the day!

We wanted to create an elegant, casual and fun day for everyone and this was absolutely achieved with all the wonderful people we were lucky enough to work with and their amazing work. Personal touches included homemade biscotti by the groom’s mom and Indonesian coffee brought all the way from Indonesia by my dad to give to guests as favours at the end of the night. We ordered wine directly from some of our favourite local wineries and also chose our own cocktails to serve, all a huge hit! My dad also performed our ceremony for us, which was very special.

We were lucky enough to have Pentage Winery allow us full access to their grounds and spectacular views for our wedding photos. Between there and the venue itself, Mathias captured every moment and detail perfectly. He is so talented! And also a great guy to have hanging out with you all day on your wedding day! :)

We were so blessed to have all the family and friends we had sharing in our day with us, including family all the way from Indonesia and friends from the UK. There is never enough time as you wish you had to spend with all your guests but we just hope everyone had as much fun as we did!
