Rustic + Romantic Temecula Wedding Inspiration

As a native California girl , I’ll always have a special place in my heart for anything that can be described as “rustic” and “romantic.” This gorgeous inspiration shoot from Bryan N. Miller Photography is all that and more, and I don’t think I could possibly be any more smitten with the stunning cake, ethereally light dress, and the oh-my-god hanging floral chandelier of my dreams, in the gallery right here.

Colors

From Carla Kayes Floral DesignFor this styled shoot I was simply drawing from the natural setting- the colors, tones and textures within the site and landscape of Temecula Creek Inn’s Stone House site. My greatest inspiration originated from Bryan Miller’s work in film photography. His shooting style beautifully captures natural settings and the romantic chemistry between the bride and groom.

The pastel blue fabric and a pair of vintage dark copper candelabras became the starting point from which I built upon for the color palette and textures of the table scape, invitations and menu cards.

We dressed the bride in an elegant flowing Sarah Janks dress, from The Dress Theory and our groom in a dark blue suit from Friar Tux. The tabletop was set with pale blue linens, white dishware, chocolate copper flatware, vintage crystal goblets and rusty brown metal chargers. I love warm metal tones with soft colors; the metal also brought a modern touch to the classic tabletop.

As a florist I know the importance that flowers play in setting the tone of the overall space. Wanting a romantic feel, I focused on lush greenery with ivory and pale yellow garden roses with blueberry stem accents. Our local Temecula Blueberry Farm provided the whole stems. I also created a hanging installation piece of Larkspur, Delphinium and greenery to mirror the flowers and candelabras on the table, adding to the romantic look. It really brought a heightened awareness to the unity and love shown by the couple sitting beneath it.
