One of our country’s most beloved songs is “America the Beautiful.” And after seeing this patriotic photo shoot, I think someone should write a song about its beauty. From Breanna McKendrick… Park City, Utah is known as a destination location for brides and grooms looking to get married deep in the Rocky Mountains surrounded by world class ski resorts and rich trees. But few people know that the charming farms and ranches tucked away in these resort mountains have a sturdy southern feel, even if they are so far away from the south. This styled session resembled everything patriotic, with the Groom in his Army Formals, the Bride in a blushing rose and lace wedding gown and the charming Whitewashed barn tucked into the mountains.
Austin and Michelle are married with a darling little girl. Austin is currently serving our country in the Army and gearing up for his first deployment, which means leaving Michelle and his little girl behind for a few months. The whitewashed barn of McPoulin farms gets gets dressed with a large American Flag each year which resonated with Austin’s Military uniform and patriotic theme. Michelle wore a classic blush pink tulle ballgown with ivory lace designed by Allure Bridal. Her bouquet echoed the reds of her gown and red lip in addition to the yellows of her Groom’s military stripe and details of his Army Formal uniform.
The military is a part of so many couple’s wedding day stories and can have patriotic themes tied into their wedding day portraits with class, elegance and without being too literal to a color pallet of Red, White, and Blue. This shoot is a wonderful example to classic military that echoes with a southern, elegant heart.
