Elegant NYC Fall Wedding at 26 Bridge Street

I’ve proclaimed it before and I’m sticking with my statement; I adore autumn weddings. Fall is a theme that I wholeheartedly embrace; bring on the pumpkins, leaves and let’s sprinkle gold everywhere. Sarah Tew and Crown Street Productions captured every festive moment of this elegant affair – including Rebecca Shepherd Floral Design’s blooming beauties. Let’s love on fall and these cuties right this way!

From the Bride… From the moment we got engaged I knew we wanted a fall a wedding. But not just a wedding in the fall, what we really wanted was a wedding that made our guests feel like they stepped into a perfect fall day. Avi and I spent a long time searching for every one of our vendors and wanted to make sure each of them would help us to create an incredibly fun and relaxed day! When we first met with Rebecca Shepherd, we immediately clicked and I so loved her vintage-chic style. Together, we came up with the colors for wedding, teal, coral, peach, yellow and gold combined with other fall elements, pumpkins, leaves, etc. I asked her to combine those ideas along with her own unique style, and that was it! I always feel like you get the best results when you let amazingly creative people do their thing and we were so happy with the results. We especially loved our pumpkin escort card table!

Of course Avi was focused on the band from the beginning and when we went to go hear Dexter Lake Club Band it was magic, and I’m not exaggerating. We both got up from our seats in their studio and started dancing. We basically hired them on the spot.

From there things really fell into place, we met with Sarah Tew, and fell in love with her approach and her creative and colorful photography. We loved our engagement photos and were just so excited to get to work with her again at the wedding!!

We worked with the wonderful Chef Rossi of Raging Skillet to create at autumn themed menu filled with apples, pears, figs, and squash. I wanted to feed people things that I would want to cook and of course eat. We got so many compliments on Chef Rossi’s creative food, especially the one bite desserts!

As the wedding approached and the weather got colder, I started to get really excited about our fall themed wedding and began to gather things to help make the day more personal, more us.. We ordered menu cards, table numbers and bar menus. Again, gold, and leafy throughout. We came up specialty cocktails – an old fashioned for Avi, of course, and a pear bellini for me! We decided on maple syrup favors, keeping with the theme, plus we loved the idea that people could enjoy our favor after the wedding! Finally, in the weeks leading up to the wedding, we gathered vintage picture frames for a family photo table and last but not least a typewriter for our guest book table! I loved using Etsy to come up with creative ideas and found some of the most creative and wonderful people on that site! We especially loved our cake toppers, which I ordered to look like us, from Etsy!
