When you marry the fashionable NYC with New Orleans Big Easy, the results are without a glamorous. Case in point? This impeccable black tie affair snapped by Jacqueline Dallimore that is bursting with beauty. Graced with dramatic Kim Starr Wise florals, gorgeous Melissa’s Fine Pastries, and the mastery work of Laura Hooper Calligraphy it’s a gallery that you won’t want to miss!
From the Sapphire Events… NYC high fashion meets the Big Easy’s entertaining hospitality in this elegant affair! With Lauren’s impeccable sense of style and incredible taste paired with Robert’s charming Southern disposition, this recipe made for an incredible weekend of events to rival any royal wedding. Lauren donned an amazing Amsale gown and incredible cathedral length veil, and dressed her maids in Monique Lhuillier dresses for this black tie event at the French Quarter’s Old Ursuline Convent. A floral fountain created by Kim Starr Wise served as a stunning focal piece that escorted guests to their seats, and after dinner guests danced the night away under the twinkling lights of the decadently decorated tent. Moscow mules in copper mugs served as the signature cocktail as guests arrived at the reception.
From the beautiful Bride… So exciting! I’d say that our vision for the wedding design was for it to be classic and elegant. Florals were important in adding some dramatic touches (the runner and fountain) but other than that just a neutral palate with lots of candles making the tent glow was the goal. For the weekend as a whole our main objective was to bring our big families together and celebrate. We wanted this to be a family affair and we thought NOLA worked perfectly for that- gathering Robert’s family where a lot of them are from and introducing my family to the city. We also added some elements to make my family feel more at home- the Stromboli and cannoli cake! Another special element was being able to use some of the Crosby’s heirlooms (my bracelet and the cake table cloth).
