From Onelove PhotographyDeepti and Brandon are both from the Midwest and were living in the San Francisco Bay Area when they got engaged. From the moment they started planning their wedding, they wanted to make sure it was representative of their life in California while also staying true to their down to earth Midwestern ‘roots’. After several venue visits, we discovered Pietra Santa Winery in Hollister and decided it was the perfect venue for the fun loving couple and included everything that they were looking for. The large property was complete with a charming house and an outdoor lawn perfect for a backyard style ceremony and cocktail hour. The sprawling vineyards were the idyllic back-drop for a stroll from the ceremony to the reception, which took place in front of the property’s beautiful Spanish style barrel room, which later housed dancing, desserts, and photo-booth fun. As for the décor, the color palette was inspired by Deepti’s Indian culture and included a mix of vibrant saffron orange and emerald green. The bridesmaids wore an array of orange and coral floor length After Six dresses which were the perfect compliment to Deepti’s gorgeous Vera Wang gown. We carried the colors throughout the décor with orange and cream chiffon fabric swagged on the rustic ceremony alter, saffron orange linens and vibrant florals by the oh so talented Farmgirl Flowers. Guests were greeted with red hyacinth sparkling water and mango pineapple lassis and also received a woven fan to keep them cool during the ceremony . Cocktails took place on the lawn where Pietra Santa wine and other refreshments were served along with California style appetizers. In lieu of a traditional guest book, guests signed a wooden California shaped sign, a piece of art that the couple could later keep in their home. Following cocktail hour, guests walked along the sprawling vineyards to the reception which took place under a canopy of string lights outside the gorgeous Spanish style barrel room. Guests found their seats from colorful escort cards hanging along a eucalyptus adorned wine barrel rack. In addition to the gorgeous Farmgirl Flower centerpieces, the tables included a mix and match of eclectic table numbers and customized menus at each setting – highlighting the mix of Indian and classic Californian farm to table cuisine. Following the reception, guests made their way inside where they danced the night away and got silly in the custom photo booth provided by Going Lovely. Oh and that dessert spread from Lulina’s Cakes – it did not disappoint. There were options for everyone – Apple lattice pie, mini cheesecake bites and mini tiramisu bites. After all was said and done, the guests made their way back and the newlyweds were able to stay onsite at the charming house right outside of the lawn where they said ‘I do’. It was a perfect day for the sweetest of couples.
