From the Bride…  After about three years of dating, Doug proposed to me at a restaurant in DC, where we celebrated our one year anniversary together. That morning, he had made a trip up to Baltimore to talk to my parents and ask for their permission. This was under the ruse that he was at work.

We chose to tie the knot at my childhood home in Baltimore, Maryland. I love the combination of gold and pink and thought that would add to the elegance of the evening. To match my love of the color pink and my sister’s dress, various shades of pink floral details were included in the design. We incorporated navy into the mix for Doug, so it wasn’t too feminine. I love crafting, so I wanted to add some elements of my own: some of the signs and straw flags (with a lot of Doug’s help). We also wanted marquee letters of our initials, so Doug decided to make them himself! He was crafting them up until the very day of our wedding!

It was the most fabulous day and, every time I hear our song “Sweet Disposition,” I begin to cry and remember the most awesome day ever. I loved celebrating with Doug, our families, and friends!
