Glam black + gold escort bottles with Freixenet

You all may have noticed that we here at Style Me Pretty have a serious affinity for all things sparkly…and our drink of choice is no different. Our current fav? Freixenet. This Spanish-made bubbly is as tasty as can be and perfect for everything from bridal showers to wedding receptions — oh, and we’re just a little bit obsessed with the gorgeous black bottle! Today we’re showing you how to make glam + glittery seating “cards” from mini bottles of Freixenet. Just take a peek below… Perfect for a modern wedding with a bit of sparkle, these escort bottles tied with a straw, tassel + guest’s name are not only adorable, but they act as a favor as well. And because there will always be a last minute change to any seating plan, these little pretties are perfect — just swap out the tag and you’re all set! The best part about these sweet DIYs? The delicious Freixenet sparkling wine inside.

Mini bottles of Freixenet Elmer’s glue Gold glitter Gold glitter tape Gold striped straws Gold foil tissue White tissue paper Gold twist ties Black cardstock White copy paper White paint pen Scissors Fringing scissors Hole punch Tag template Place several mini Freixenet bottles in a large saucepan and fill with enough warm water to cover the labels. Let bottles soak for several hours. Remove the bottles from the pan and gently peel off the softened labels. If there is any glue residue left on the bottle, use a scrubby sponge and some dish soap to remove it. Set the bottles aside to dry. Print out the tag template onto copy paper and cut out the tag shape. Trace the tag shape onto the black cardstock with a pencil until you have as many tags as you need. Cut out the tags and punch a hole in each. Write each guest’s name onto a tag in white paint pen. Cut the white tissue paper & gold foil tissue into 3” x 5” rectangles you’ll need one sheet for each tassel, and three tassels per bottle. Follow our video tutorial (here) to make mini tassels in gold and white. Draw a table number in glue on each bottle. Sprinkle each bottle with gold glitter until the glue is covered, then shake off the excess glitter. Having trouble getting the extra glitter off the bottle? Use a vacuum’s hose attachment to clean it off. Tip: Do this step inside a large cardboard box it keeps all the glitter contained and makes cleanup a breeze! String three tassels and a black tag onto a gold twist tie, then tie around a straw. Tuck the ends of the twist tie into a gold glitter washi tape band around the neck of the bottle. Repeat for remaining bottles! [dotted] Be sure to head over to the Freixenet Wedding board on Pinterest (here) for other awesome ideas and inspiration.
