Classic brides, take note. This Carmel Valley Ranch affair is what old-school glamour is ALL about. Beautifully designed by Downey Street Events with invitations by Copper Willow, it’s a wintertime celebration decked in rich hues and metallic accents all photographed by Erin Hearts Court. Believe me – your almost-Friday festivities just got a whole lot prettier.
From Erin Hearts Court…A elegant and gorgeous winter wedding at Carmel Valley Ranch. Rich deep florals, a beaded whimsical gown by Jenny Packman, the bride’s red lips, a classic chignon, and a dark candlelight ceremony all made this wedding amazing.
From The Bride…We wanted our wedding day to incorporate some things my husband and I love – the great outdoors, fantastic food and drink, and our favorite people. Carmel Valley Ranch, suggested by our planner, Lauren Geissler of Downey Street Events, fit the bill perfectly.
Neutral metallics with pops of plum and ruby felt winter appropriate and blended well with the venue’s natural beauty. We took a chance with an outdoor ceremony in the middle of December, and our fears grew the week of the wedding as a deluge pounded Central California. Luckily, the skies cleared on the wedding day and our guests, warmed with the help of hot chocolate, champagne, and blankets, joined us on the Ranch’s vineyard lawn. We then headed indoors to continue celebrating. Our favorite winery, Loring Wine Company, supplied Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the nearby Santa Lucia Highlands. The wine and signature drinks paired wonderfully with the Ranch’s fresh dishes, late night snacks, and s’mores.
By choosing a venue that was out of the way for all of our guests, we knew what a big commitment they made to be with us. We wanted to show how grateful we were and ensure everyone had fun. Good food, clear skies, friends and family, and an amazing team of vendors made our wedding something special.
