From Lydia Jane…Ashley & Evan are childhood sweethearts. They shared their first kiss in a pine tree in the 7th grade and have been together ever since. They were married on August 17, 2013 at Fiore Farm (a private family farm) in Hollidaysburg, PA. Ashley’s aim was to create a “formal whimsical garden party” where guests would dine at a continuous outdoor dining table covered in moss, taper candles, and vintage place settings, all under a canopy of bulb lights. Ashley (who runs Glitter + Grain, an Etsy decor shop) & family oversaw all of the decorations for the wedding, including the strands of ombre dyed rope and garlands hanging over the ceremony, as well as the fit-for-a-Gatsby reception tent where Kerr Kreations effortlessly strung flowers and moss to create a breathtaking hanging centerpiece. Other notable details: The wedding ceremony programs adhered inside antique books and handed to the guests to read while they waited, the rings placed inside terrariums and carried by the ring bearers, customized napkins with fun facts about the bride and groom, the bridal party arriving in vintage Rolls Royce cars, and a golden confetti reception entrance. The exquisite details may be what make Ashley & Evan’s wedding a day to remember, but it’s their long-lasting love for each other that is truly unforgettable.
