Old mansions and art galleries are two of my favorite venue options, so why not combine the beauty of them both? That’s what Jennifer Bergman did when designing this bash right here; a sweet ceremony at the mansion, followed by a blush and gold celebration at the gallery. Eternal Reflections Photography and A Love Story captured every sparkling space and I can’t get enough of it all right here.

From the Bride… We wanted our wedding day to be a romantic, elegant celebration of our love, and for each guest to feel important and that they helped make our day come true.
We were married at a historic private estate and lucked out with beautiful weather for our outdoor ceremony. We setup a beautiful vintage hutch displaying our family members pictures who are no longer with us. Chad wrote his wedding vows on cue cards and each one had a word in large bold letters on the back. All together they read: “I will love you forever.” This was so touching and memorable.
Our reception location, The Art Gallery of Alberta, was transformed from a cool, contemporary venue into a very warm and romantic space. We mixed square and round tables with different linen combinations and centerpiece designs to add layers of texture and interest. I absolutely loved our unique head table backdrop which featured a frame of hanging floral stems!
My favourite moment of the evening was our first dance. I have always love to dance and now Chad enjoys ballroom dancing – in fact, we are still taking lessons together!
From the Groom… My favourite moment of the day was seeing Sheena for the first time at our ceremony. I remember waiting with such anticipation to see her appear from around a grouping of trees at the end of the aisle; she was absolutely stunning! I choked up instantly and held back my tears with all I had, feeling a complete and overwhelming sense of joy for what was to be for the rest of our days. I also loved walking into the reception at the Art Gallery of Alberta before everyone else and seeing what was created there knowing it was our night, out time, our special moment.
