Rustic with a side of romance is, hands down, my favorite way to say I do. So take a sweet Lake Tahoe setting, an amazing team of vendors and the oh-so-fabulous Katie Rebecca Events to design every moment and the results are absolutely amazing. From Katie Rebecca Events… This gorgeous wedding could not have been captured more perfectly. The bride wore Vintage Chanel and the girls wore BHLDN. The groom was handsome in J.Crew. The wedding was filled with lush greens, creams, golds, velvet and wood which made for a very romantic bohemian and glamourous mix.
The ceremony was held outdoors overlooking a lush green and the forest. The cocktail hour was held in a cozy grotto with a waterfall, musicians and a wood installation with candles and florals. The reception was held under a white tent with a candle lit and floral entrance.
From the Bride… Jeff and I come from wildly different backgrounds but were brought together by our shared love of horses. After a few months of late night rides, our dating became more serious and it wasn’t long (we’re talking weeks here) before we both realized that this was “it”. While visiting Jeff’s native Texas, he gave me the biggest surprise of all and proposed in the rural land outside of Dallas.
When it came to picking a venue it proved to be tricky since my family is bicoastal. After deciding that our family home in St Augustine, FL wouldn’t work for the kind of party we had in mind, Jeff and I found ourselves looking at California as the wedding winner.
It didn’t take very long to realize that the perfect location was sitting right under our noses in the amazing city of Truckee, outside of Tahoe, which is where my family spent most of our summers and holidays. From then on our amazing coordinator Katie and an irreplaceable team of vendors managed to plan a wedding that balanced both my bohemian artistic heart and his rustic Texas soul and married these different themes to create a spectacular and unforgettable evening.
