From the beautiful Bride… We knew from the beginning that we wanted our wedding to be a cozy gathering of family and close friends. We didn’t want the event or the planning process to be high-strung and over the top. The feel we wanted to go for was a refuge in an ‘enchanted forest’, which is why our venue was perfect for us – made to hold a smaller number of guests, a very natural and woodsy exterior and interior, and best of all in the middle of the woods of North Georgia. We wanted the location and the wedding overall to feel lush and natural.
Tony loves woodworking (which most definitely helped us with our forest theme), and I love arts & crafts, so a lot of our wedding was DIY. He created all of the wooden drawer centerpieces and the food stands as well as 100 candleholders that were strung all throughout the venue.
We had a blast, and we’re so happy with how everything turned out. Looking back, the wedding was really us.
