From Rebecca Chan Weddings & Events…May and Justin met in the hotel business in Alberta. As we started planning their nuptials in downtown Toronto, they naturally wanted to host their reception at a hotel, and they fell in love with the elegant ballroom setting at the Park Hyatt Toronto Yorkville with its rooftop view of the city’s skyline. Their ceremony took place at the ornate and very beautiful St. Paul’s Basilica, the oldest Roman Catholic church in Toronto. The couple also took their first look photos at the Fairmont Royal York (suiting because they met at a Fairmont!).

We paired the bride’s love for Tiffany blue with soft peaches, pinks and blush to make for a romantic colour palette. Paulina from Fete Boutique Floral + Events dressed up the head table with sparkling linen and lush floral fit for a queen, while I surprised the newlyweds with bride and groom mini cakes from Bloom Cake Co. to complete the look. The guest tables were adorned with soft beaded lace linen and elegant tall centerpieces. I built a sweets table display around their show-stopping wedding cake in the bride’s favourite colour, making for a very sweet ending.

Their intimate wedding in Toronto was a beautiful celebration with their closest family and friends, full of romantic details that reflected the bride’s love for Tiffany and everything pretty. It couldn’t have been better!
