5 Ways To Make Your Photo Booth A Hit

I’ll never turn down a photo booth opportunity, it’s guaranteed a fun time. These pics are my all-time favorite mementos from past weddings and they hold a special place on my fridge. But while these celebratory snaps can be an epic addition to your party, there are ways to make them even better, and who better to advise us than the “Darkroom Scientist” himself, Jacob Stewart, founder of The Traveling Photo Booth. See his top tips below for guaranteeing a success and avoiding any photo fails.

QUALITY IS KING

Compare the quality of photo booths and photo strips. Could a tipsy guest knock the booth over? Do the photos look like they were taken with a webcam? You’ll be looking at these photos forever, so make sure you are getting the highest quality photo strips possible. Demand real photo samples and compare them side by side.

PERFECT PLACEMENT

While it’s hard to hide a photo booth or photo stand, placement still matters. Ask your venue contact for suggestions and remember to keep the photo booth in a highly visible area near the action. Having a dance? Serving drinks? The photo booth loves being near the dance floor and/or the bar.

DON’T START TOO EARLY!

Timing is tricky and events rarely stay on time. If your timeline allows, we suggest starting your rental after dinner. Doing so ensures everyone has arrived, speeches have been given, and the party has begun.

DONT END TOO LATE!

Only the dedicated party animals will stay until the very end. We recommend ending the rental 15-30 minutes before your event ends to ensure that all of your guests have the opportunity to use the booth – regardless of their bedtimes.

ADD-ONS KEEP THE PARTY ROCKING

Our Photo Guest Book, Social Media Integration, and Prop Kit are designed to keep guests taking photos all night long. Guests love sharing their photos with our mobile app, writing messages in your Guest Book and love wearing props! The prop kit encourages guests to take more photos, is brand new, your guests’ to keep and contains a variety of hats, goofy glasses, boas, tiaras, and much, much more.
