From the Bride… We both new from the very beginning that our wedding venue would be a romantic place in Europe. I wanted it to be a castle but all those we liked didn’t offer accommodation which, in our case, was a must. We wanted to find a place where all the guests could stay, where we could have a ceremony, photo session and the wedding reception. Thus, we started to look at historic hotels and the moment I saw Park Hotel Tartuf in the pictures, I knew it was the ONE. The interior, its stained glass windows, crystal chandelier, beautiful park… we just loved it! The manor-house looked charming and cozy – a perfect venue for our wedding. Besides, I used to work in Slovakia for half a year and the country as well as its open-hearted people will always have a special place in my heart.

Our family and most of the friends live in Moscow just like us and we were worried that they would not be as enthusiastic about our destination wedding as we were. But almost everyone simply loved the idea of travelling abroad and experiencing a Slovak wedding.

Being a perfectionist, I decided to arrange everything myself. It was extremely hard to organize such an event from distance and in a foreign country. Five months before our Big Day we finally travelled to Slovakia to see Tartuf, I was so scared because hotels have a tendency to look way better on the pictures than in reality. But the whole place turned out to be even more magical than we could imagine!

We had 35 guests – only closest relatives and friends. I have to admit it was a hard decision for me and Timur to cut down a guest list to an absolute minimum, but we both believed that an intimate event was more our style. Our wedding was a unique opportunity for our family and friends to come together and enjoy the company of each other for three full days – a rare thing for us these days. It was absolutely amazing to be surrounded by our dearest people from all over the world and love was indeed in the air.
