The joy on this couple’s faces is absolutely infectious, I’m getting giddy just typing this. This first look photo shoot, captured by Madeleine Bonin, who also happens to be this dapper groom’s sister, is pure excitement, and combined with the beauty of the winter wonderland all around them, I’m dancing in my seat. From Madeleine Bonin… Ethan is my (awesome and very hip) big brother. This December he married a princess. The wedding venue was in Evergreen, CO and the morning of the wedding, it snowed. It was the first snow in a few weeks.
I was Maid of Honor in the wedding. Though Hannah Joy wanted me to shoot the wedding, it (obviously) couldn’t work because I was in it. I had been the photographer for the proposal (Ethan flew me from TX to CO as a surprise) and had done quite a few sweet sessions with them as a couple in their 4+ years of dating. So it only made sense for me to be taking some photos at the wedding… Hannah Joy begged me to take their First Look images (and yes, I took them in my bridesmaid dress!)
Hannah Joy paired a beautiful White House Black Market coat with her White by Vera Wang wedding dress. Ethan was a hodgepodge with his Guess jeans and J.Crew jacket. Somehow those two made that combination for bride & groom stunning. They were real to life with their styles and their wedding day absolutely beamed with that.
