From Rebecca Gosselin PhotographyAlex and Daniel tied the knot at her grandparents’ vineyard estate in the heart of Napa Valley (St. Helena). The pool, vineyard, and old grain silo mixed with the whites and golds created an incredible ambience for the day.

From the Bride… Daniel still claims to this day that he thought he would have never had a chance; that I was “out of his league.” We did not hang out in the same circle. I was very involved at school with sports and planning of school activities, I was always putting herself out there. Daniel was not that type, he never thought that I would date a guy that sat back and enjoyed life.

“Dan the Man” was my first impression of Daniel, or at least that was the only thing I knew him by. I thought he was a teacher’s pet, some guy who was full of himself… little did I know how wrong I was. I soon found out that Daniel was one of the most humble and kind people I would ever know and soon fall completely in love with.

November 6, 2012 was the day all days. That day when I got to work I saw an email from our realtor saying “ Congratulation to both of you, you got the house!” I quickly called Daniel to share the exciting news, at the end of our conversation I told Daniel “This day could not get any better.” Little did I know. I knew it was going to be time celebrate, but little did I know for what. With three bags in hand I opened up the front door and there he was surrounded by candles down on one knee… “Will you marry me?” Needless to say it took about three seconds for me to drop everything I had and freak out.

The wedding day was absolutely magical. You would think after eight years of being together you would be calm, cool, and collected. We both laugh because we refer to our nerves from our wedding day back to our first date, that anxiousness to see another and that butterfly feeling would not go away. Most of all we will never forget how right everything felt during every minute of our wedding, nothing could have taken away from those moments.

The wedding aired on the side of natural elegance. We stuck to the idea that less is more. We did want to go to over the top; we wanted the scenery to really speak for itself. We brought in floral that was native to the area and is grown on the estate to keep everything full circle. Once the formal/traditional part of the night was over, it was important to us that we get the party started. We up lit the back the estate recreating the space we had used prior. One of the special touches for the groom was we had two fire pits for people to gather around for s’mores or sipping on whiskey.
