From A Stunning AffairVisiting Bandy Canyon Ranch for the first time, Ryan and Lindsey knew that this would be the perfect outdoor escape from the bustling noise of Los Angeles for their wedding celebration. Its secluded rustic location in San Pasqual Valley and its camp (or “glamp”) like feel with on-site accommodations, made it the ideal venue for a weekend celebration with all of their family and close friends. The site also reminded Lindsey of her family cabin back in the Midwest, made all the more memorable for both the bride and groom since it was where Ryan met Lindsey’s father for the first and only time before he passed away.

Giant eucalyptus trees lined the road as guests made their way to Bandy Canyon. Upon arrival, all were greeted with fresh lavender lemonade labeled with the bride and groom’s heart tags featuring the “L + R” symbol. Sipping their refreshing beverage from mason jars with striped straws, invitees stayed cool under whimsical parasols shading them from the warmth of the afternoon sun. Ryan and Lindsey incorporated their love of traveling in the guestbook by setting up a travel table and asking everyone to share their favorite trips along with any insider tips….great inspirations for future travel plans.

The spacious grassy ceremony area was decorated with dark wood pedestals complete with a rustic lantern and overflowing with ivory, peach and soft pink flowers. As they entered the aisle, guests were greeted with a wooden sign saying, “Happily Ever After Starts Here”.

The groom and groomsmen looked dashing in blue-grey suits with mint green ties and were complemented by the lovely bridesmaids dressed in pastel mint colored gowns. The stunning bride, accompanied by her mother, was adorned in a strapless Monique Lhuillier gown. Ryan and Lindsey recited vows under a rustic gazebo, embellished with lace fabric and sprays of blooming flowers.

Following the ceremony invitees enjoyed the cocktail hour sipping “Blue Bubbly” and the “Dirty Ahnald” signature cocktails, sampling delicious appetizers and listening to live musicians. Everyone also had the opportunity to play a few rounds of Cornhole, customized by the bride to include the signature, “L+R” symbol.

The reception followed as guests made their way down a path to their wooden rectangular tables complete with vintage lace runners, vintage dinner plates and silver charger plates. The center of each table was adorned with soft candlelight and surrounded by a variety of containers filled with gorgeous pastel garden roses, dahlias, peonies and succulents.

Dancing the night away and enjoying the music, everyone was entertained by an eight piece band performing under a canopy of lights. As Ryan and Lindsey cut their delicious wedding cake displayed on a vintage cart, guests were also treated to decadent desserts, brownies, lemon bars and key lime tartlets designed to appease their palates.

Lindsey and Ryan truly accomplished their wish: to ensure that everyone was dancing and having fun, and enjoying the rustic feel of Bandy Ranch inspired by Lindsey’s cabin (i.e. mismatched china, wooden tables, lanterns, mismatched furniture) and how the bride leveraged flea markets to help decorate her special day: her wedding.

No doubt, everyone had an amazing time, a day that they will never forget!
