While it’s no surprise that Vera Wang is a master of her craft, once in awhile a dress of hers comes along that steals my breath away. This stylish stunner has me captivated and with the gorgeous bouquets by Moon Canyon, Gia Canali’s photos look like they are straight out of a magazine. See all the beauty right this way!
From The Bride… We initially looked into having the wedding at my parents’ home but it became obvious pretty quickly that it would entail a lot of work (e.g. tenting, staging, covering the pool, etc.). We then when on the hunt for a location in California and El Encanto captured our hearts on our first visit. We were totally blown away by the gorgeous grounds and the amazing view. The fact that the entire property had just undergone a huge renovation was a big plus too.
We really wanted our wedding to have a classic and timeless feel. We wanted to be able to look back our photos years later and still think it was the most beautiful day of lives. This inspiration helped in picking my dress which was more classic than I originally thought I would go and it also dictated our muted, soft color palette.
We laughed a lot throughout the day. One of the funniest moments to me was the father daughter dance because I’m quite a bit taller than my dad and the song was only supposed to go on for 90 sec, but instead the DJ played the longer version. We were laughing so hard on the dance floors trying to figure out how to keep going.
Our best moment was probably seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle. That moment was filled with so much excitement, nervousness, and lots of love. That made the ceremony very special for us and of course it made Chris cry.
I think writing our own vows also made our ceremony special for us and our guests. Professing our love in our own words was definitely nerve-wracking but it made it so much more personal and we will never forget that part of our day.
