New York Botanical Garden Engagement Session

If I had to do a second e-sesh (which I would happily do), I’d take it straight to a gorgeous garden setting like this one from the seriously talented Judy Pak. She captured this duo in the most darling way, and I can’t stop staring. The fluffy blooms and the breathtaking scenery that New York Botanical Garden has to offer, and the sweet way these two cuties lean into each other… swoon central.

From the beautiful Bride…Philip and I met a few days before New Years Eve at one of my favorite Gramercy spots in New York. What was supposed to be a 2-hour date turned into a 6-hour evening of good vibes and laughter. Our relationship was a whirlwind from that point on – from going to Coachella together a few months later (uncharacteristically for Philip, just two weeks before his board exam) to a vacation in the Caribbean a month after that. It seems cliche but when you meet the right person, everything really does just fall into place!

Once we got engaged, we were excited about all the fun things to come. A good friend of mine had an upcoming wedding so I was already scouring the wedding blogs with her. One day I came across this gorgeous garden shoot and I had to find the photographer. I was so lucky that Judy Pak was available for our engagement photos and not only is she very talented, but also an amazingly sweet person. She made Philip and I feel immediately at ease which was very important to us.

We love spending the day outdoors and wanted to find a location that offered a variety of landscapes. NY Botanical Garden was a perfect, serene location with less tourists and rules than many of the other options. It’s amazing that Judy was able to capture us at our best even though it was a hot day with a lot of walking involved to find special off-the-beaten path locations that we really loved.

Now we are working through the details of our wedding day and are so excited for it, but infinitely more excited about building our life together afterwards!
