December 30, 2014

The main day may be over but I'm not ready to let go of the holiday season just yet, and this stunning shoot from the uber talented team of Stella Bloom Designs and Amber Weir is just the ticket. With gorgeous invitations by Umama and every delightful detail captured by Lavender & Twine, I'll be holding onto the festive spirit, thanks in part to this gorgeous gallery, for the rest of the week.

From Amber Weir... In designing this styled shoot we were inspired by the changing weather, and wanted to create a warm and romantic environment that would inspire both brides and anyone who may be welcoming guests to their home this holiday season. We found the perfect backdrop for our romantic farm-to-table theme at a gorgeous rustic farmhouse at Triunfo Creek Vineyards in Malibu.

We chose to highlight natural elements and the importance of food, not only in dining but also in design. Each facet of the shoot was inspired by culinary elements; figs for the stationery, blackberries & thyme for the signature cocktail, and the amazing harvest feast created and designed by Seasons Catering. We incorporated a color palate for the florals, place settings, and hand painted cake that highlighted the same colors present in the figs, pomegranates, blackberries, and other food.

In creating a beautiful table it's so important to include something a little unexpected to make the design stand out. We chose to do this by pairing the plum goblet with ivory and crimson florals, and amazing faux fur placemats.
