From Kristen Weaver PhotographyAshley and Greg’s wedding was probably one of my favorite Casa Feliz weddings to shoot! I have never seen the back reception patio look so beautiful – and it was completely unique to any other time I’ve photographed there! In what was also the brightest days known to mankind here on the “surface-of-the-sun-Florida”, I also managed to sweat off about 10 lbs… so yay!

Ashley and Greg met at work on Ashley’s first day at her new office. Greg woo-ed her with lots of chit-chat over things like cars and Jersey Shore (editor’s note: yes, seriously). They bonded over a broken elevator and 26-flight of stairs walk, and made it official on their first date at Dexter’s – a local favorite! Greg proposed on a surprise getaway to Amelia Island where he asked Ashley to marry him on an evening walk along the beach. They celebrated with a private fire pit, champagne and strawberries!

Since they’re both super family-oriented, they were the most excited to share their wedding day with everyone that means so much to them! They talked so much about this family member and that one, I felt like I knew them all by the end of the evening! The venue had a beautiful garden theme with long eucalyptus and lemon leaf table runners and wreaths, plus lots of really cute chalkboard signs made by Chalk Shop Events! As a favor, they gave out adorable little kitchen towels with their signature colors. Ashley’s bridal style was vintage lace keyhole back Maggie Sottero gown and vintage metallic accents, and her bouquet had antique brooches and a perfect combination of lavender roses and eucalyptus. The bridesmaids had sage bridesmaid gowns with white rose and eucalyptus.

You will absolutely obsess over the gorgeous tented reception. Even though there wasn’t a drop of rain for miles, Ashley requested a clear tent with market lights and chandelier – made possible by some absolutely incredible vendors! The bride and groom dined in armchairs from AFR Furniture rental and the guests sat at farm tables and gold chiavari chairs with plenty of candles and gold accents!

And I can’t finish this without mentioning their cake and dessert bar. To say that it was “sweet” – from the flavors to the design to the signs – would be a complete understatement!
