Let me tell you a little something about the Stein Eriksen Lodge: it’s awesome. It’s the kind of place where you can say “I do” against a breathtaking snow-filled backdrop, then celebrate those nuptials with a rockin’ party, dancing ’til dawn totally included. From Cory Ryan Photography… Park City, Utah is such a magical place for a destination wedding photographer (especially a Texas photographer)! On Missy and Garrett’s wedding day, little snowflakes glistened through the sun as they fell from the sky onto the stunning grounds of Stein Eriksen Lodge, making for the most picture-perfect snowy wonderland.
Missy wore a white fur cropped jacket over her dress to stay warm (maybe also with the help of Garrett’s flask of Fireball Whiskey- ha!), while the ladies all had furs in shades of brown to compliment their floor-length plum dresses. Missy also wore her grandmother’s antique sapphire necklace.
The flowers were spiked with green succulents, deep purple calla lilies, and winter berries. Guests were greeted with the stunning snowy mountain views off the Flagstaff Deck, and hand warmers wrapped in burlap bags for the wintery weather. After the sweet ceremony, punctuated with laughs by Garrett’s swinging his Steeler’s Terrible Towel, the festivities moved indoors to the brand new ballroom. The modern floral centerpieces played off the winter bouquet colors, with tones of gold thrown in. Missy and Garrett went straight into their first dance, followed by a very emotional father-daughter dance. The live band and DJ got the party hopping after dinner, and got everyone from toddler twins to grandpa out on the dance floor! It was such an honor to be included in such an amazing day!!! Big congrats Missy & Garrett!
