From The Bride…. Bryan and I met at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. While Oklahoma is very special to us, Kansas City is where we fell in love and began our journey together. Bryan surprised me and popped the question on October 20th, 2013 by decorating my apartment with dozens of candles, roses, and pictures of us together. When I walked in after dinner with friends, he was standing in the candle light waiting for me. He asked, and I said yes!
Once we got engaged, we could not wait to plan our wedding. As the planning began, we knew that we wanted a classy, elegant wedding, but with an urban twist. The Terrace on Grand was perfect. It had everything we wanted…exposed brick, hardwoods, beautiful lighting, and a rooftop view of the city where we fell in love. As soon as we walked in I could envision us celebrating with our family and friends.
After we found our venue, everything else slowly fell into place. We knew navy and gray would be our colors from the very beginning. The colors combined with the luscious floral arrangements and bouquets were absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere of the venue, along with the fun music and dance party absolutely reflected Bryan and I as a couple. We wanted our night to be classic and elegant, but with a laid back feel. We had the time of our lives with all of our favorite people surrounding us.
