Being in front of Rebecca Yale‘s lens is a magical and insanely fun experience, I can say that first hand. So every time she sends a love sesh our way? I know I’m going to fall head over heels for every single image. From Rebecca Yale Photography…Living in New York City can seem so hard during the winter when the temperatures drop well below freezing and slushy black snow coats the streets, but it’s moments like Derek and Jackie’s Fall engagement session that make it all worth it! We photographed on a perfect Fall NYC day in Central Park catching the beautiful foliage at its peak with dazzling reds, yellows and oranges surrounding us. After an afternoon spent wandering through the rambles we headed down to the West Village, where they met, and enjoyed the last bits of light as we walked through the small windy streets of downtown.
From the beautiful Bride…Derek and I met and live in New York City, and we wanted our engagement photos to capture classic New York. I’m originally from Los Angeles though, and no matter how long I’ve lived here, “classic New York” to me means beautiful foliage in Central Park during the fall. Derek, on the other hand, is a native New Yorker and finds it mostly terrifying how loudly I yell “look at all the pretty colors!” in public every year around this time.
Anyway, we were lucky to have timed our engagement session at the peak of fall- with vibrant yellow, orange and red hues all around Central Park. Even more, we were so lucky to work with our incredibly talented photographer, Rebecca Yale. She was able to find the most amazing spots inside the park, and capture perfect lighting! We then headed downtown to the West Village, near where Derek and I had our first date. The entire day together was a ton of fun, and we’re both so glad to have these photos as dear memories.
