These two (gorgeous) New Yorkers escaped the big city for their I dos to tie the knot in a more Texas way, and thanks to the super talented Anne Marie Photography we get to revel in every shabby chic moment. With stunning florals from Rachel Ashwell and perfectly placed details tucked in every corner, this gallery is a winner.
Partly because Karen is my best friend, partly because I have known Sam his whole life, partly because the Prairie deserves a magical layer, I spared no emotional and creative expense to making this wedding a story book wedding….. I used a combination of fake flowers and the real thing, roses, wisteria, peonies, larkspur, delphinium, I made some quiet accents in mason jars and then some big center stage displays of abundance in oversized wood barrels. I layered vintage china with mainstream wedding rental china, flanked by faded floral napkins held together with a vintage broach.
The Prairie in itself is a perfect stage to create a magical day of make believe, that in actuality is reality, for all who attended. I needed to know every detail was considered, my imperfection had to be perfect. And the overall wedding was truly perfect.
