If this elegant seaside soiree was around when I was getting married, It would have inspired my entire wedding. Seriously. Because to me, this gallery is perfect. From The Bride…The first thing we knew we wanted for our wedding was to have it on the very same beach in Bridgehampton, New York where we got engaged in May 2012 and where we often walk our dog Noodles. We found a perfect beachfront venue just a few feet away — Outdoor ceremony on the beach! Ocean views from the dance floor! — and we quickly locked it down. Shortly thereafter, Hurricane Sandy absolutely decimated the place, leaving our venue a sad construction zone. But with some regular monitoring of the construction progress (read: useless stressing), it was repaired and looked better than ever by the time our wedding day rolled around. And thankfully, the weather fully cooperated that day, so Mother Nature and I are back on good terms.

For our decor, we went with a fall theme for our October wedding with mostly ivory and eggplant colors. We had an amazing and creative florist who indulged all of my crazy ideas — like having edible elements in the centerpieces, branches hanging from the ceiling, and turning the entrance hall into a full-on forest. Her end product was 100 times better than my original “vision” so trust your vendors!

Our main priority for the cocktail hour and reception was probably the food! When I told the caterer about my love of all things miniature, he went above and beyond by making mini versions of all our favorite foods. Mini burgers paired with mini beers, mini tacos paired with mini margaritas, you name it and it was mini. We still talk about the food!
