From The Bride…From our proposal with an Empire State Building backdrop to our Brooklyn Bridge engagement photos, I think some could say Chris and I are almost as in love with New York City as we are with each other. We knew this was where we wanted to be married.

A majority of our guests were flying in from all over the country so we were hoping to give them a true Big Apple experience. The inspiration for our wedding surrounded the beauty of this legendary city and we picked iconic locations for both the ceremony and the reception, Church of St. Ignatius Loyola on the upper east side and The Central Park Boathouse. Starting with the vintage Manhattan map envelop liner in our invitations to the Tate’s cookies as our favors, we really wanted New York City to shine leading up to and throughout our big day.

With a summer wedding, we wanted to keep everything light and chose hues of blush and ivory, but added a black accent for a classic touch. We picked Central Park (an obvious choice) for our photos and in true NYC form, had an unexpected afternoon shower, but that didn’t stop our photos from turning out magical.

One of the most memorable parts of our day was seeing all of our guests laughing, eating and dancing with a Central Park sunset in the background.

Our wedding day was truly unforgettable.
