Victoria Estate Wedding at Campbell Point House

When you see as many weddings as we do, you start to have an emotional response to each one. You know the ones I’m talking about… the weddings that make your heart sing. Such is the case with this windy wedding day brought to us by the talented Neiyo. You can just tell then the couple is pure gold and the entire day was an intimate, heartwarming, joy filled occasion. Complete with an easter egg hunt, a kid zone, and loads of pretty details, it’s all right here for your viewing pleasure.

From Neiyo….Melissa and Peter are one of those couples that you fall in love with straight away. They are so kind and caring, even though I was their photographer, they treated me like family.

It was a beautiful sunny blue sky kind of day in Melbourne with a cold breeze. At the gate of this breathtaking private estate (which reminds me of Revenge the TV series!) I was asked for a code, luckily this kind young man driving behind me screamed it out to me who turned out to be one of the 2 groomsmen/sons of the groom. The whole theme for Peter and his boys were Country Road and navy blue whilest everything on the brides side was a soft rose color. Even the little ones were matching to the color sceme. This couple certainly has good taste as most of their wedding was DIY. Melissa styled and organised everything including clothing for entire wedding party, where flowers were positioned in the property, made the blackboards for each area and even covered the cylinders which guests took home with their caricature in with paper (yes they hired a caricaturist!)

During the day I captured a few funny shots as the wind was blowing heavily and the boys & their girlfriends tried to protect their hairdo. I myself even had a Marilyn Monroe moment (lucky my assistant Alli was there to the rescue). Melissa’s Bridesmaid Jane was so beautiful and she made me laugh when I told her that she’s the best bridesmaid and she responded ” thats coz Im Old!”

The wedding was very kids friendly with an area especially decorated for kids and an easter egg hunt that the kids loved. Melissa and Peter designed the menu themselves transforming old family favourites to gourmet style sliders, mini trays of spaghetti and mini pizzas.

The speeches were heart warming filled with laughter and tears especially when Peter thanked his 2 sons…it was a touching moment that I will never forget.

The fairy lights of the estate were sparkling as the night continued in dancing.
