We have lots of pretty on the docket today lovelies, and we’re starting it off with a bit of garden shoot goodness, English-style. Inspired by Stephanie of Booth Photographics late Grandmother’s wedding cake serving set, every detail that follows took on a life of it’s own. From Alluring Blooms fresh white petals to the lovely cross-back chairs (oh, how I love cross-back chairs), dreaming in this gallery is easy to do.
From Booth Photographics…Earlier this year, I lost my grandmother unexpectedly. When I traveled to my childhood home for her memorial service, my favorite way to reminisce was by pouring over her wedding memorabilia. It made such a deep impression on me that when my grandfather gave me their engraved cake cutter as a gift, I knew we needed to style a photo shoot around it.
This English garden inspired wedding shoot centers around the idea of leaving a legacy. We began with my English heritage and my grandmother’s cake cutter then began adding details that embody the idea of English gentry celebrating in their historic home village.
This is a delicate balance between the casual and the elegant. The bespoke gown and veil was designed especially for this photo shoot, and the lush florals make you wonder if the beautiful arrangements were foraged that morning in a field. Loose curls, champagne, stone fruits, and signing a family tree add to our vision of creating an event that becomes a legacy. It is casual enough for people to enjoy, but elegant enough to make them feel special.
Weddings are about so much more than pretty details. We wanted every detail to have significance and we wanted to show our brides that the stories behind this wedding are what drives us to capture it beautifully.
