Art Deco UK Wedding at Burgh Island Hotel

I don’t even have words for this wedding. It’s just too darn amazing. Honestly, I can’t seem to pull myself away from all of M&J Photography stunning images, and really, can you blame me? They paint the prettiest picture of a seriously stylish art deco-inspired day, and you can see every jaw-droppingly gorgeous image here.

From M&J PhotographyHayley & John’s intimate wedding took place at the Burgh Island Hotel in Devon made famous by the novels of Agatha Christie. The hotel is an original 1950’s art deco hotel that feel like it is caught in the past without having lost any of it’s originality or class. A wonderful place to photograph, especially when the tide comes in and it’s completely cut off from the mainland.

An intimate ceremony in the captains room was followed by Champagne afternoon tea with scones, cream and jam and of course wedding cake. Then the evening celebrations began with delicious cocktails in the bar followed by dinner and live jazz in the hotel dining room.

– The veil was made by the bride’s mother

– Hayley’s turquoise bracelet was borrowed from her mother and originally belonged to her grandmother, so out served as the something borrowed, the something old and the something blue.
