From Jason And Gina PhotographyI hope you enjoy Danielle and Ben’s gorgeous farm to table wedding at an apple orchard/farm (how cute is that?!) as much as we do! I think this wedding is such a perfect example of how well you can take a very organic and rustic style setting and give it a touch of elegance while still keeping with the style of your surroundings. We had some dreary weather but I think it adds a smokey romance to the photos! We love all the animals that were hanging out on property for guests to pet and take pictures of…what an adorable touch!

From Save The Date EventsFrom the very beginning of planning, Danielle and Ben wanted a venue that could frame the iconic Boulder Flatirons without losing the intricate details of their own story. Their hope was to find a place that felt charming but could also allow for an elegant celebration. What they discovered was Ya Ya Farm and Orchard, a century-old heirloom apple farm in Longmont, Colorado.

On the day of the wedding, guests walked by curious barn cats, spotted chickens, a pair of horses, and neat rows of venerable apple trees on their way to the ceremony. Emma, the bride and groom’s dog and VIP attendant, felt right at home.

The ceremony, officiated by both fathers, took place in the comfort of the orchard. And despite the misting spring rainclouds, the backdrop offered gorgeous, if momentary glimpses of the mountains. A vintage flatbed pickup truck sat nestled in the grass, a welcomed part of the landscape.

After the ceremony, guests were directed to cocktail hour under an open tent with the orchard surrounding them. Guests could relax on rustic lounge furniture, play yard games, and listen to live classical guitar. The bride and groom incorporated their favorite wine and cheese pairings for guests to enjoy, in addition to appetizers such as grape-pistachio goat cheese truffles and tomato-watermelon gazpacho with mint.

Dinner and dancing was held in large tent on another part of the farm. The tent featured canopy fabric draping, illuminated chandeliers, warm wooden details, soft candlelight, greenery, and creamy flowers with sprigs of lavender.

Dinner was a genuine farm-to-table experience. The menu included spring vegetable ravioli with garden herbs, local beef skirt steak, and fresh rainbow trout with polenta. A custom cake with flavors such as zucchini-lime sat on an old wooden wagon. Protecting the cake was a tiny model of their dog Emma, handcrafted from sugar.

As the event came to a close, guests we invited to leave the tent and walk to crackling fire pits where trays of s’more ingredients awaited them.
