Fact: I can’t resist a classic wedding. They’re sort of my weakness. The big, white dress, the romantic calligraphy and elegant reception design get me every time, and this country club affair is the perfect example. From Meghan Boyer Photography… Alicyn and Matt’s celebration started in the chapel of the university where they first met, Loyola University in Baltimore. Surrounded by family and friends, the priest, a close family friend, joined them as husband and wife in a mass full of tradition and joy.
Guests then headed to Hillendale Country Club to celebrate the beautiful couple. Matt is a golf pro and many of his family and friends play the game, (and play it well!) so this lovely course and clubhouse was the perfect choice to gather and celebrate.
The ballroom was elegantly set up with a combination of square and rectangular tables topped with candles and gorgeous arrangements varying in height. The floral design was classic and white with a mix of hydrangea, roses, and peonies.
Much time was put into the many personal touches; the signature cocktail (a mint mojito), the table dedicated to loved ones who have passed, the basket of flip flops for guests to wear while dancing, the guest book with the couples favorite golf courses. And many of the stunning details were hand made by the bride’s mother including both of the belts the bride wore with her dress, the ring bearer pillow, and traditional polish apron.
