Garden Party Inspired Bridal Shoot

We’re certainly no strangers to a good garden party, but when all that elegance and whimsy is taken indoors, we’re bound to be smitten. Think sequin tablecloths and cross back chairs, overflowing blooms and clusters of candles. It’s all styled to perfection by Bows & Arrows and Stefanie Miles, and lucky for us Heather Hawkins snapped up every yummy bit. More right here.

From Heather Hawkins Photography… This shoot was a lovely collaboration between the team of Heather Hawkins, Stefanie Miles, Bows & Arrows and a few other amazing talents, and may just inspire you to throw a garden party of your own!

The gorgeous natural light and lightly colored interiors allowed us to bring the outdoors in, without compromising the natural and organic elements we desired for this visual story. The historic building held the celebration, and provided ample opportunities for wistful and charming portraits to capture the radiance of the bride. We always recommend thinking carefully about venue selection, as it is so important to creating the atmosphere for the celebration!

We wanted to create a lush, romantic and dreamy atmosphere for a elegant celebration, and did so using a colorful mix of loosely arranged florals in various tones of blush, peach, cream, salmon, and pink. The addition of antique brass candlesticks antique silver flatware added warmth and character, while the clean-lined blush plates kept the scene fresh and modern.

The bride wore gowns by Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, and Oscar de la Renta. Two bouquets were designed, one made of hellebores, olive leaf, patience garden rose, sweet pea and the other of sword fern, jasmine vine, poppies, peony, peach juliet garden rose, charity garden rose, miranda garden rose, ranunculus, sweet pea, anemone, hellebores, and scented geranium.
