Southern Inspired Spring Wedding at Lowndes Grove

If you could win an award for prettiest dock in all of the South, the beauty at Lowndes Grove would surely take first prize. It’s stunning and Dana Cubbage has the pictures to prove it. But it only gets better my friends. What starts on the dock, moves into an all out classic southern affair crafted by MOD Events. Find so much more of this tented beauty in the full gallery.

From Dana Cubbage PhotographyWhitney + Alex were married on 2/28/2014. Whitney’s vision for a classy, elegant, Southern-inspired spring wedding was brought to life by Kala of MOD Events and it was a truly stunning celebration at one of my all-time faves, Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston SC. Beautiful florals by Kala were displayed in vintage silver tea pots and containers. Burlap table numbers added a touch of rustic flair, as did the sprigs of cotton that were carefully placed throughout the wedding design. The groom and groomsmen wore fashionable Brackish Bowties (a personal favorite of mine) and their cotton boutonnieres were accented with Guinea Hen feathers – a special touch added by the bride’s mother, who also did the calligraphy for the place cards + invitation suite. I absolutely love personal touches like that!

After a beautiful First Look at Lowndes Grove, Whitney + Alex were married at St. Luke’s Church in downtown Charleston. After the ceremony, they arrived back at Lowndes Grove in a vintage Rolls Royce which was so classy + elegant… and provided for great photos!! Joined by their closest family and friends, Whitney + Alex danced the night away to the amazing sounds of Soul Fish. The dance floor was packed all night and they absolutely killed it! At the end of the night, Whitney + Alex exited through sparklers and made their getaway on a boat. Simply amazing :)
