Bohemian Inspired Field Wedding

This photo shoot proves that bohemian sensibilities can be wildly elegant.  It’s a layering of vibrant color, the beauty of a free flowing dress, and a naked cake that dreams are made of by Whipped Bakery . From Jessica Kills When Emily Jane and I first began to discuss the elements and inspiration behind our first (of many) styled shoots, we instantly bonded over the love of film photography, which thanks in part to awesome inventive talents like Emily, is making a resurgence all the way over here in Mid-Michigan! Film has such a dreamy and romantic feel to it and this all film shoot really showcases its mesmerizing qualities.

The location also played a huge part in our inspiration for the shoot. Set in an amazing field with beautiful mature trees, tall flowing grasses and dainty wildflowers, Mother Nature truly painted the perfect picture for the boho, “flower child” feel!! The lush field was a breathtaking backdrop for the effortless and free-spirited vibe which is the essence of the bohemian look. We paired an organic bouquet of premium blooms that included timeless peonies and garden roses, funky hanging amaranthus, and delicate ranunculus with a simple yet elegant flower crown. Although we wanted all the focus on the beautiful couple and natural surroundings there is no denying the jaw dropping, show stealing quality of that backless Free People gown!! Just wow!

Kaitlin Parisho Designs gorgeous and unique stained wood stationery suite with white hand lettering alongside the accompanying kraft envelopes with custom gold glitter liners, and gold ink calligraphy escort cards were the perfect complement to all of the woodland elements while remaining chic and adding a touch of glam to the outdoors!
