From the vendor team… Mount Hope Farm, a national historic site with over 325 years of history, was the jumping off point for our springtime shoot. We wanted to create ambiance that highlighted the natural aspects of the Farm and the brilliance of the Spring season by choosing elements that complimented the property and all of its surroundings in a fresh and unique way. Inspired by vintage Audubon prints as well as birds, honeycomb, and other springtime fauna our vision seamlessly came to life. Paper Moss even incorporated some of the Audubon inspired prints into the stellar invitation design. We used rich and deep tones everywhere, leather, tobacco leaves, whiskey and wood to bring an almost masculine and moody, romantic feeling to the shoot while still allowing femininity to come across in the sweeping flowers, linen textiles, and gold rimmed place settings. Jennie Kay braided leather into our bride’s hair, and bedecked her Tony Hamawy gown with leather accents, while her dapper groom wore light-weight spring wool and season-appropriate corduroy with brown suede shoes and leather belt. As a reflection of the Farm’s natural abundance and life, farm fresh eggs were hand lettered by Heather Belle as place settings, local honey and farm-to-able ingredients were used in the cuisine prepared by Russell Morin Fine Catering, and Greenlion Design used some elements foraged from the 127 acres of land in the floral design to create a farm fresh vibe that matched the stunning natural surroundings.
