From Chowen Photography… Maris and Tyler reside in NYC, but have a great love for Colorado, so they had their lovely wedding at the beautiful Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Northern Colorado. It is the perfect location for a destination wedding. They had such an ease about them and we truly enjoyed photographing their sweet love for one another, their family and wedding weekend. They trusted us completely and we couldn’t ask for anything more.
Their wedding day was perfection with blue Colorado skies, white fluffy clouds and the perfect temperature. The wedding day was simple and sweet. The bride’s mother was even in her wedding party and her step-father married them. We loved how close the couple was to their families. Maris and Tyler also chose to do a first look and have couple’s portraits before the ceremony and it was so special. They had a chance to just be alone and enjoy the moments, scenery and each other before the ceremony and celebrating all night. During the ceremony, they had the wedding rings passed along a ribbon and passed by friends and family members before being put on their fingers. It was a super sweet way to send the rings to the couple.
The ceremony overlooked the mountains and the dinner and reception took place in a large barn type building. There was a lot of dancing and fun after that.
