From Judith Rae… Nozomi and Lee are definitely a unique and delicious couple! We can start with their Japanese inspired Jewish wedding – their chuppah was handmade using Lee’s great grandfather’s tallit (prayer shawl) tied to bamboo sticks and anchored with antique crates and flower pots. One of their best friends served as the officiant and officiated via an ipad. Through the years they dated, Nozomi taught Lee how to speak Japanese and his vows were written and recited in both Japanese and English as a sign of respect and love for Nozomi’s family and culture.
Having met in Brooklyn at Lee’s first Guactacular Event (Lee Frank is the founder of Nachos NY and Guactacular) they felt like the River Cafe and brick-covered Dumbo really represented their relationship. Lee and his groomsmen’s cufflinks represented all of their favorite hobbies, naturally Lee’s was an avocado representing his love for Nacho’s and guacamole! Nozomi’s passion for hair and fashion made her full tulle veil that resembled a beautiful mane of hair the perfect fit for this gorgeous bride.
