From Nicolle Versteeg Photography… Jena and Cole are two beautiful people who are originally from Canada and live in Perth. They have chosen to tie the knot this August back home in Canada. Before doing so, Jena and Cole wanted to capture their life and love for one another in Perth to share with family and friends back home. Jena and Cole came to me to document their love story by integrating locations that are very close to their heart, such as the local quirky café and stunning beach. I very eagerly said yes!
From the Bride-to-Be… Cole and I have been dating for nine years. We met in our hometown of St.Albert, Alberta, Canada through mutual friends. We slowly started going to the same parties and same bars and we really hit it off. He was playing hard to get, but I won him over. Through our early 20’s, Cole took Engineering and I took Nursing at school. We both love our jobs and practice in Perth.
Piccolo’s Corner is the first restaurant we went to in Perth. It is the cutest little cafe and we have so many memories there of yummy breakfasts, long talks and a calming atmosphere. We love to sneak away there and enjoy the garden in the back and take a minute to slow down life in this fast-paced world.
City Beach was the first Beach we went to in Perth. We were driving up oceanic drive and came over the last hill and saw the most beautiful beach in the word with the turquoise water, white sand, and warm sun. We fell in love with Australia in that instant. We wanted to capture that exact feeling that we got when we saw city beach for the first time. We never miss Canada and its cold winters when we have this gorgeous stretch of coastline.
