From DM Events Planning and Design… Right over the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn you will find the iconic Williamsburgh Savings Bank. This marvelous gem has been thoughtfully restored from its already grandiose beauty into Weylin B. Seymour’s, a meticulously crafted wedding venue. Each and every nook and cranny has been designed with an eye for detail that makes our hearts flutter, and as you can imagine, as soon as it opened its doors, the wedding community swooned! Weylin B. Seymour’s reminds us of a time filled with opulence, elegance, and style – the inspiration for the photoshoot.

We knew our design needed to be worthy of this extraordinary venue. We started with the basics: tables and chairs and immediately thought of Nuage Designs, whose incredible linens and chair covers are actually anything but basic! With so many textures to choose from, selecting just one can be a challenge, but we felt that a champagne sequin linen would really pop in the space and not conflict with the ornate patterns and colors that fill the main room. We wanted to put a spin on the classic gold candelabra, a trademark of an opulent design, so we carefully curated a collection of mismatched glass candlesticks featuring gold taper candles. The candlesticks were placed within a garland of seeded eucalyptus which formed a runner of greenery down the center of our sequin fabric. While we didn’t want to compete with the colors of the room, we wanted to pay homage to them, so we selected lush blooms of peonies, garden roses, and ranunculus in gemstone shades of ruby and amethyst. Next, we focused on the place settings – we wanted each element to make a statement so we selected bold items such as black patterned china and gold flatware, and paired them with classic gold rimmed glasses. When it comes to stationery, no one does glamour like Ceci New York! The patterns of her designs were a perfect complement to the amazing patterns in the décor of the venue. Our vision would not have been complete without a luxurious desert bar and Nine Cakes created confections that were as beautiful as they were tasty. Dessert bars are all about variety of flavor and style, so to display the two cakes and few dozen small bites we had a blast selecting gold platters, dishes, and trays – some were so beautiful, they now adorn our studio!

As we reviewed our design plans, we reflected on how amazing a glammed up bride would look with all of the elements – our gorgeous tables, the vintage elevator, and the grand fireplace. The bride’s look was crafted by the totally amazing team at Facetime Beauty – not only are these beauty artists talented, but they leave you feeling like a million bucks (just the look we were going for!) If there is someone who loves to capture details as much as we love to create them, it is Trent of Trent Bailey Photography. He absolutely nailed it – we can get lost in all the dreamy photos from this fun filled day of design.
