Casual Park Wedding in Raleigh

I kind of love weddings that bend “the rules.” You know – weddings like these Raleigh nuptials held at a local park followed by a Lebanese restaurant reception. It oozes that effortlessly chic vibe and Rebecca Ames documented the day in perfect fashion. Happy swooning!

From Rebecca Ames… This wedding is Southern, vintage, soft, lovely with some very chic elements. It is gorgeous! They got married at Fred Fletcher Park, which is a historic site in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is the grounds for the Borden Building, which was an orphanage in the early 1900’s. When you walk in you can still feel the history. They had their reception in the back patio of Sitti, a Lebanese restaurant in downtown. But in between, Megan, Rick and their wedding party took a rickshaw ride through Downtown Raleigh, even over a bridge where you got to see the city skyline. It was incredible and so very much fun!

I love all the details that the Bride put together. She made all of the details herself minus the flowers. She put together bags of lavender for the guests to toss on them during the recessional. There were still a lot of details that hinted at the south. They had two urns of ice tea, one for yankees and the other for rebels. It was a gorgeous day all around!
