So when one of our fave blogger brides, Caitlin Moran, sent us a little something from their amazing lineup, we seriously couldn’t wait to share. It’s yummy donuts meets pretty pink peonies from Pops Of Plum meets all kinds of fabulous from Laura Hooper Calligraphy. From Caitlin Moran… The concept for this inspirational shoot stemmed from featuring two of our favorite things — donuts and peonies, which also happen to be two popular trends in weddings right now! Sarah of Pops of Plum kept the floral arrangements super simple — after all peonies really speak for themselves, right?
I developed the tablescape by starting with two components – pale ice blue napkins and natural green leaves. White and gold were the obvious choice for accent colors and the chairs from XOXO Vintage Rentals with their pale blue velvet cushions just set the scene perfectly.
I love incorporating touches of natural, organic beauty into more formal tablesettings — so the small garlands on the bride and groom sign and sprigs in the napkins kept the table from feeling too stuffy.
I actually made the donut cake myself — which is an easy idea for a bridal shower or bachelorette party brunch! A few fresh flowers and greens on the side and a pretty cake stand are all you need!
