From Christiane Lehman of Truly You Events... Mariana & Brian met in yoga class in Philadelphia! Their wedding was designed to be an extension of the Historic Landmark Building's beauty. To compliment the jewel tones inside the space, Mariana and Brian selected a wedding palette of eggplant, rust and gold. Loveleigh Invitations designed Mariana & Brian's ceremony program to include a little blurb about the history of PAFA and encouraged guests to explore the open galleries throughout the night. The escort card display was thoughtfully placed inside the Potamkin Gallery so that guests could enjoy the Potamkin's famed collection while perusing for their names.

Once inside the Rotunda, guests were greeted with soft shimmering golden organza linens topped with hydrangeas, free spirit roses and cala lilies in eggplants, rust colors, gold tones. Petals Lane also added twinkling led lights inside amethyst colored votive cups to give the tables a romantic glow. Sharon Moore spotted each of the centerpieces and provided a beautiful break up pattern on the dance floor that repeats the stone work design along PAFA's Grand Staircase. From the paper, to the fashion, to the florals, cake and lighting details, each design element was selected with great care to celebrate the beauty of the Historic Landmark Building.

The cake was created by Whipped Bakeshop. The owner of Whipped, Zoe Lukas, worked at PAFA during her past life, so looping Zoe in for Mariana & Brian's wedding cake was an obvious choice! The cake was designed to look as if it was brushed with golden paint around each tier. The blown open free spirit rose from Petals Lane added a flash of color and completed the look.

Mariana's wedding dress was designed by Anne Barge and was purchased at Elizabeth John's in Ardmore. The eggplant colored chiffon bridesmaids gowns were designed by Jenny Yoo, and were purchased at Van Cleve Wedding Pavilion in Paoli.

The 1876 National Historic Landmark Building designed by Frank Furness and George W. Hewitt provides an extraordinary setting for PAFA’s world renowned collection of American artwork. The Historic Landmark Building at PAFA not only played host for Mariana and Brian’s special day, but its jewel toned color palette and rich history became the inspiration behind their wedding style. Mariana & Brian stayed at Le Meridien around the corner from PAFA to get ready, and then walk over to the PAFA campus for the wedding day's events. The photos took place in Lenfest Plaza and Cast Hall. The wedding ceremony took place on the landing of the Grand Staircase with guests overlooking from the Washington Foyer. After cocktails, guests moved through the Potamkin Gallery for dinner and dancing in the heart of the building, the Rotunda.

A string quartet, Sienna Strings, played classical selections for the ceremony and cocktail hour. For dinner & dancing, the Vibe Tribe band kicked the evening in to high gear! Mariana and Brian danced to a medley of Van Morrison and Bob Marley for their first spin as husband and wife. Afterwards, the band played a lively hora before the time came for parent dances. For the father/daughter dance, the band played "Power of Love" by Huey Lewis & the News. For the mother/son dance, the band played "Child of Mine" by Carole King. It was an eclectic mix musically speaking, and the dance floor was packed all night!
