Romantic Marie Antoinette Inspired Shoot

Want to pretty up your Wednesday morning? Of course you do. Well, you came to the perfect spot. This picture perfect shoot inspired by the one and only Marie Antoinette and snapped up by Arlene Chambers Photography is everything you’ll need to add a little romance to your day thanks to the talented vendors including EVENTful Moments and Flowers By Tiffany – and there is even more tucked away here.

From Arlene Chambers PhotographyWhat’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think Marie Antoinette? Fashion, Cake, Drama, all of the above? That’s what we wanted to convey when we created this modern day Marie Antoinette shoot.

Sarah of Eventful Moments had a vision of how she wanted to portray this shoot. It wasn’t your typical ruffles, lace and pearls. It was flowing lush greens, abundance of floral, decadent desserts, and over the top glamour mixed with a rustic vibe of home. “I knew I wanted to capture the richness of Marie and go over the top, but still keep that romantic realism that every bride wants. “

The shoot was originally planned for the NW outdoors, but our Washington weather had other plans for us and quickly turned this vision inside. John and Amee, owners of Dairyland, were quick to jump into the planning; offering their gorgeous venue for what became the ultimate lavish backdrop to this inspiration.

The gown, supplied by Laineemeg Bridal, designed by Allure Bridals, made the perfect addition. The fullness of the tulle, the delicate beading of the jeweled bodice had us drooling from the very moment we saw it. The way it moved with every turn or sway was just icing on the “cake”.

For the floral, we wanted the setting to reflect an English garden brought indoors. Flowers by Tiffany had just what was in mind. The Sweetheart table was dripping with greens and luscious roses, while the chaise setting for our model resembled her lying in a garden all of her own.

Morgan from Midori Bakery and Cheryl with The Cookie Fairy, set the mood with decadent desserts a plenty. From the three tiered lush cake, to banana cream pies, French macarons, brooch designed cookies and more, there was no question we would be saying “Let them eat cake”.

Arlene Chambers Photography shows how we combined this modern Marie with a touch of vintage and green garden elements. As the model walked in the rustic barn setting, Arlene captured the art of Yessie’s Makeup Artistry with her fabulous contribution of hair and makeup for our Marie. Timeless, fresh and fun is the look we were going for and Arlene displayed that with her artistic eye of displaying elegance and grace. Arlene loves to zoom in on all the details however providing a full view of the setting is always a must. She definitely succeeded this in all her pictures and we hope you enjoy this shoot as much as we did creating it!

“We had a beautiful dream and that was all … “ Marie Antoinette
