From the Bride… Erin and Ryan met at the Calgary Stampede in the summer of 2008. Erin was doing promotional work for Budweiser one day, and happened to be working with Ryan’s brother Cam. They bumped into each other at Nashville North that night, and did their best to spend as much time as possible together every day after during the Stampede.

When Stampede ended, they went their separate ways but stayed in touch. A month went by and on Ryan’s birthday, he received a birthday present in the mail from Erin. That sparked an interest that led to a long distance relationship for over a year until they decided to live together in Calgary in September, 2009. They were married in Vancouver in 2013 and are now expecting their first baby…a little boy due in July, 2014.

From the Planner… The couple chose the modern and sleek Vancouver Convention Centre for this summer wedding. Erin’s colours were pink and mauve, for the bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids. The bridesmaids wore floor length mauve chiffon dresses by Amsale, and the junior bridesmaids also wore one-shoulder floor length chiffon dresses in soft pink. The cake, chair ties, lighting and drapes all complimented the different shades of pink in the florals that filled the ballroom. The florals included hydrangeas, garden roses, and mini roses and were perfect touch of romantic yet modern arrangements. The ballroom ceiling was covered with over a hundred white lanterns that reflected the light ever so perfectly.

Guests feasted on an exquisite four course plated dinner which featured local dishes, such as salmon, and locally grown greens. The bride who’s energy and laughter are both contagious and very well-received. Guests were gifted white flip flops to ensure they could dance away with our fun loving bride though the wee hours of the night. It was the perfect way to ensure the party went on.
