Spanish-Style Wedding Inspiration

If you ask me, Cinco de Mayo is one of those holidays where calories don’t count. Think of it as a one-day excuse to indulge in as much chips, guac and margaritas as you like, all while swooning festive inspiration like this. Charla Storey PhotographyThe Southern Table and Sugar Bee Sweets are just a few of the vendors who made it happen and you can treat yourself looksy loo in the gallery right here.

Whimsical

Charla Storey Photography… Inspired by both my Basque and Mexican roots, I wanted to create a look that enveloped both cultures. I decided upon a color story that was both vibrant and rich in texture. Deep eggplant, fiery orange, and soft peaches combine with greens to create a vivid palette that is both earthy and elegant. I mixed in gold and cement elements to add glam and relaxed feelings. Both European and Latin cultures enjoy the moment, what it means to be engaged in food, friends, and the environment. The goal here was to design a look that incorporated an al fresco dining experience with a soft, romantic, and striking bride.

Florals + Linens: Florals included a mix of colors and textures. Vibrant poppies, garden roses, and beautiful ranunculus contrast with textural elements of thistle, king protea, succulents, and air plants to create an eclectic mix. Table linens also added texture, combining soft, white cotton, with natural linen and deep orange wool.
