When the venue is as stunning as Temecula Creek Inn, the details that follow are just an added bonus (and insanely pretty if I might add). So is true with this charming fete from Closer To Love Photography. The beautiful bride along with the help of her family and friends, sprinkled this day with rustic touches making it nothing short of perfection. From the lovely Bride… Being Southern California natives, my now husband and I knew that we didn’t want to venture far when it came to celebrating the best day of our lives. The second we set foot on the Temecula Creek Inn property, we knew we had stumbled upon something wonderful. Touring the Stone House venue was love at first sight. It was everything we had imagined and so much more. It was rustic yet romantic all wrapped into a sweet perfect package.
We really wanted to create an event that truly represented us as a couple and would leave a lasting impression with all of our guests. We decided a heartfelt ceremony with our close friends and family, amazing food, timeless décor and a lot of dancing was the perfect combination to create this type of affair. I spent the next 12 months planning the perfect wedding. I recruited help from my family and close friends to help make my vision come to life. I knew we didn’t need much as the venue itself was remarkably gorgeous and would set the tone for our day. In the details, we tied together rustic pieces of wood and burlap paired with soft touches of romantic lace and lots of candles. The color palette consisted of a variety of pale pinks, creams and pops of deep red. So much love and care was put towards the creation of our beautiful day. It was an all-out DIY major undertaking, but the outcome was nothing short of perfection.
Our wedding day was truly a fairytale. Guests had to take a tram to get to the secluded venue site. As everyone exited the tram and began the walk down a stone pathway lined with large oak trees, a hand crafted sign read “Happily ever after starts here.” Holding true this statement, at the bottom of the path, it opened up to a sprawling and breathtaking scene. A 150-year-old Stone House along with built in fire pits, bar and dance floor were just a few pieces of already existing décor which we accented with simple yet elegant touches.
Guests crossed over a small bridge to get to the ceremony site where burlap and lace bows lined the aisle seats. A beautiful wooden ceremony arch looked like a floral masterpiece thanks to the wonderful work done by Flower Allie. The ceremony was raw and emotional and captured the hearts of all. On to the reception, it was now time to celebrate! While guests sipped on local wine and brews they ventured around the grounds, taking in all of the beautiful details that surrounded them. A 14 foot wooden table housed our guest book, wishing tree and memorial site, complete with pictures of us and our dearest who had passed. Inside the Stone House guests admired a decorated fireplace mantle and credenza where our engagement pictures were placed among flower petals and candles galore. In another corner guests could not miss the stunning homemade 5 tier wedding cake, compliments of the Groom’s sister, who happens to be a pastry genius. On the same cake table were pictures of our parents on their wedding day, an added touch that was special to us. Hanging mason jars filled with candles were dangled from the Stone House porch overhang. Handmade burlap pillows and blankets could be found near the fire pits for those who wanted to cozy up. Guests found their tables by searching the large vintage window pane seating chart. Burlap runners blanketed each table while candles, lanterns and beautifully crafted flower creations adorned the tops.
First dances, speeches and dinner went by without a hitch and the dance floor was crowded from thereafter. We all danced the night away to our very own hand-picked tunes under a sparkling chandelier. As the night came to an end, we sent our guests home with “s’more love,” delicious homemade s’more pops. Our rustic, romantic and charming wedding was truly a dream come true. As we look back we can’t help but think how incredibly blessed we are. We owe thanks to our loving families, friends and amazing vendors who all played an important role in creating the best day of our lives.
