New South Wales Country Wedding

When I read that these two lovebirds were wed under a tree planted by the Bride’s grandfather almost 60 years ago, I melted. Not to mention, the entire wedding was hosted on the family property, which happens to be sprawling country gorgeousness. How amazing is that? There’s even more in the gallery from Amelia Loneragan.

From the beautiful Bride… My husband and I were wedded in a garden ceremony at our family property, Lue Station, NSW on NYE 2011. We are both from country Australia but met and live in Hong Kong. We decided to have our wedding reflect both our country upbringing as well as our oriental future.

My grandparents hosted 250 guests on the family property. We said our wedding vows under a tree my grandfather planted almost 60 years ago. All the decorations and flowers (including bouquets) were done by my mother and I with the assistance of our friends and family. The cake was made by my mother and decorated by the ladies of the Rylstone Cake Group (a group of women who submit cake decorations to country field days around NSW).
